Core Strength Series

Artist Daniel Schneider explores the physical action of drawing in three-dimensions using materials such as reclaimed Douglas Fir, basswood, ash and other exotic woods. Marks and gauges in the surface reveal the labour-intensive process that took place while a new form emerged. The tall, fragile pieces make reference to the fragility and yet strength of human life, with views from different perspectives.
