Woodcut Prints

Artist Daniel Schneider explores the physical action of drawing using materials such as reclaimed Douglas Fir, basswood, ash and other exotic woods. Marks and gouges in the surface reveal the labour-intensive process that took place, followed by printing in black and white. The tall, slender pieces make reference to the human figure creating an interactive and spatial relationship with the viewer.
